Forums and places for hikers to meet, they are the life-blood of the Federation and offer their members hiking programmes for all skill levels.
180 000 km of footpaths
In 1947 the Comité National des Sentiers de Grande Randonnée was set up, 30 years later it became the Fédération française de la Randonnée Pédestrre. Its mission is to equip France with a network of footpaths maintained by 6 000 volunteers.
More than 100 000 members
The FFRP individual or family card gives access to appropriate civil liability, and accident insurance coverage. The membership card also gives you a certain number of special prices.
A training programme approved by the French ministry of youth and sport leads to the delivery of the federal certificate of volunteer hiking leader. The FFRP also organizes specific courses on other areas.
